Lochbay, Waternish (15 min drive)

Owned by Chef Micheal Smith. Unpretentious spot for local seafood such as hand-dived scallops, run by a husband-and-wife team this cosy island restaurant is only a 15minute drive from Dunvegan.

Stein Inn (15 min drive) circa 1790

Family run Pub c/o Charlie and her 2 Children assisting front of house. A wonderful location indeed.

All welcome at ‘The Oldest Inn on Isle of Skye’. All welcome including your dog and children. The Stein Inn offers a lunch service 12noon to 2pm and an evening service 5pm - 9pm. The area of Waternish is a wonderful peninsula to explore offering many walks, farm tour with coffee & cake inadditon to the The Skye Skyns shop and Yurt Cafe. Edinbane Lodge (10 min drive) Michelin 2023

Highland hospitality on the menu for more than 475 years at Edinbane. A historical lodging house located between Dunvegan and Portree. Chef: Calum Montgomery is a talented young chef worth watching. The Tasting Menu at Edinbane Lodge with or without the wine pairing is definitely one to book. The restaurant is open Wednesday through to Sunday April to October / Wednesday through to Saturday November to March.

The Dunvegan (10min walk)

‘‘BBQ Heaven’’ as the kitchens of The Dunvegan have a bespoke BBQ range with many flames and shelf heights. Fusion between Scottish and (family influenced) South American / Argentinian Scottish cuisine. Truly honest produce. The Dunvegan is a Deli, Cafe during the day 7 days a week and a restaurant in the evening; 5days closed Sundays and Mondays. Family owned and run by local family. On their croft (small holding) all vegetables’ and greens are being grown so when we say local we truly mean local. During the day popping in for coffee, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea is a must. Dining in the evening must be booked

The Three Chimney Restaurants (10 min drive)

The 3 Chimneys is one of those restaurants that all our guest’s book or plan on booking prior to their arrival of course. We can highly recommend the ‘Kitchen Table’ as not only will you enjoy the very best but seeing a finely tuned kitchen in operation is quite something: true team work and team spirit.

Old School Restaurant (2 min walk)

Family owned for 2 generations now: Maryann and Hugh Mackenzie initially and now their son John who runs The Old School with a loyal and dictated team of locals from the area. Enjoy a pre dinner drink by the fire before taking to your table. The Old School is a popular family restaurant; a must for all visiting in addition to us Locals. If you failed to plan and book ahead at least you can partake c/o their takeout menu.

The Bistro @ The Atholl. (2 min Walk)

Family owned and run establish offering evening meals 7days a week. The Bistro menu provides for all our Scottish produce. Bear in mind their Friday and Saturday menu offering is cold plates / sharing platters givng their kitchen team some time our which is mush needed. Please do book in advance.
